Gas Safety Inspections
We offer gas safety inspections to domestic, commercial and landlord properties, as well as to individual small appliances and caravans. Please note that we are not qualified to perform gas safety inspections on boats. Our checks ensure that your appliance(s) and pipework are functioning correctly and safely. We will provide you with a safety certificate after the inspection. We are now able to take gas safety inspection requests via online form. For more information, click the link above.
New Gas Customers
We have been supplying gas to hundreds of properties across Shetland over over fifty years. Gas Delivery
We have been regularly delivering gas cylinders in all weather across Shetland for over 50 years. Our delivery drivers will swap your empty cylinder for a full cylinder, and can connect the full one if required: to organise a gas cylinder delivery, please either order on this website, phone us at 01595 692807 or email us at gas@rearo.co.uk.
We deliver to Lerwick on Monday, Wednesday on Friday. We deliver to the South Mainland (including Fair Isle) on a Tuesday. We deliver to the West Mainland (including Foula and Papa Stour) on a Wednesday. We deliver to the North Mainland on a Thursday. We deliver to Whalsay every second Wednesday: if you want to know when the next Whalsay delivery is, please phone us. Installations and repairs
We have been completing installations and repairs of gas appliances, pipework, infrastructure and equipment in Shetland for over 50 years. Our several decades of experience ensures we have the knowledge and certifications to efficiently, safely and correctly complete any gas installations or repairs that you require. If your gas appliance or property isn’t functioning as intended, please give us a call at 01595 692807 or email us at gas@rearo.co.uk and we can organise for one of our gas engineers to have a look. We keep a stock of commonly required spare parts and are able to order in a wide range of parts.
Bulk Gas Tank Installation and Refilling

Toilet Cubicles
We offer the manufacture of toilet cubicles. Our Rearo factory in Glasgow manufactures the cubicle panels, and as a result we can produce cubicles that fit the exact needs of your building. Our customers on mainland Scotland include ASDA, McDonalds and St Mirren Football Club, and our biggest Shetland production was for the recently built Anderson High School.
To receive a quote for the production of toilet cubicles for your building, all we need are photos and drawings of your rough plans: we can receive these by email or come along to our showroom to discuss your plans with us.

Gas Central Heating Boiler Installation
We are able to install a gas central boiler into your home. Gas boilers can either be fuelled by 47kg Propane Cylinders or by a bulk gas tank.
Gas boilers are significantly cheaper to run than electric boilers, with the a kW of electricity costing roughly three times more than gas.

Our Rearo Laminates factory in Glasgow produces a wide ride of wet wall, ceiling tile and flooring solutions, all waterproof and all perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and wetrooms.
