When do you deliver cylinders?

We deliver to Lerwick on Monday, Wednesday on Friday. We deliver to the South Mainland (including Fair Isle) on a Tuesday. We deliver to the West Mainland (including Foula and Papa Stour) on a Wednesday. We deliver to the North Mainland on a Thursday. For Whalsay cylinder deliveries, please contact Roger Irvine who will collect cylinders for you and drop off empties here to us. For Unst, Yell and Fetlar, please contact your local Calor Gas stockist R S Henderson.

What are your opening hours?

We are open from 09:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday, and 10:00-14:00 on Saturdays.

I have bought a cylinder for the first time and have been told I need to pay an extra fee for the hire charge/cylinder hire agreement. What is this?

We are agents of Calor Gas (https://www.calor.co.uk/) and supply gas in cylinders they provide to us. As the cylinder itself is worth more than the gas within it, Calor charges us a fee for every cylinder we rent out. This is the fee we must charge every customer who wishes to rent a new cylinder. This fee is a one-off payment and will only be due the first time you purchase a cylinder, not when refilling the same cylinder.

After paying this fee and filling out a Cylinder Hire Agreement Form, we will send you a Calor Cylinder Refill Agreement. This agreement is between you and Calor. If you wish to return your cylinder in the future, bringing this agreement along with you allows us to receive a partial refund on your agreement fee from Calor to pass on to you.

Do you ship to mainland UK?

We only provide deliveries to addresses in Shetland. Any mainland UK customers should contact their local supplier if they wish to purchase gas.

Will you deliver any products from your website except cylinders?

We only deliver within Shetland. As we cannot guarantee all of the products on our website will always be available or in-stock in our Lerwick showroom, the products on our website are only indicative of our Lerwick stock and are therefore not available to purchase. If you wish to purchase a product you have seen on our website, please either come along to our Lerwick showroom or contact us on 01595 692807 or gas@rearo.co.uk. We may be able to organise delivery of smaller items along with our regular cylinder deliveries.
